Guild of St. Electus[]
The Guild of St. Electus has been portraying a congregation of puritans at both the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire and the Northern California Renaissance Faire since 1990, organizing as a formal guild at the faire in 1991. They are a guild of street entertainers known for their black costumes. The puritans walk the faire and interact with customers, rather than performing on a stage, playfully condemning guests and fellow faire folk alike for a variety of imagined sins.
